Hello everybody!
Today we are
going to continue walking around London and this time I bring a very famous
area, although too visited by tourists, but still retains its charm and a few
shops worthy of note ... and buy ... who can, of course ;-)
Lets walk
around NOTTING HILL, starting from Portobello Road and continue to Westbourne
Grove...
Portobello
Road is famous for its Saturdays Market (full of tourists, of course) but you
can visit any day of the week, which will be just as nice and more authentic,
to find less tourists and more "natives".
The first
thing I recommend is a good breakfast or brunch at The Electric Brasserie, as
it is famous because of this, especially for fine Eggs Benedict ... I certify
;-)

Hoy vamos a continuar pateando Londres -aunque sea virtualmente-, y esta vez os traigo una zona archifamosa, y archivistada por turistas, pero que aún así sigue conservando su encanto y algunas tiendas y puestecitos dignos de observar... y comprar... quien pueda, claro ;-)
Vamos a recorrer NOTTING HILL, empezaremos por PORTOBELLO ROAD (esta la conocéis tod@s, verdad?) y continuaremos por WESTBOURNE GROVE... ésta no os la sabéis y os va a encantar... ;-)
Portobello Road es famosa por su mercadillo de los sábados (lleno de españoles, por cierto) pero se puede visitar cualquier día de la semana, que será igual de bonito, y más auténtico, al encontrar menos turistas y más "autóctonos".
El primer punto que recomiendo es un buen desayuno o brunch en The Electric Brasserie, ya que es famoso por esto mismo, especialmente por sus exquisitos Benedict Eggs... Doy fe ;-)

Personally I
love this store, a haberdashery filled with colour ribbons, buttons, zips,
etc..
Personalmente me encanta esta tienda, una mercería repleta de cintas de colores,
botones, cremalleras, etc.

We walked until we find this beautiful clothing retailer:
The Appletree Boutique: With a naïf romantic vintage style... very British ;-) and very wearable!
It has affordable prices (as few in London) for clothing with a different touch...
Not rule out
buying something for Christmas! (By the way, soon I'll talk about the Christmas
windows that are already beginning to see...)
Seguimos caminando hasta encontrarnos con esta bonita tienda de ropa:
Con un estilo "naif", romántico, vintage.... muy british ;)
y muy ponible! Tiene unos precios muy asequibles (como pocos en Londres)
para ser una ropa con un toque diferente...
No descarto comprarme algo para estas Navidades!! (por cierto, en breve os hablaré de los escaparates navideños que ya se empiezan a ver...)

Another major
issue in London, is the penchant for pastries, cakes, cupcakes, etc.. The more colourful
the better... They catch the eye! We’ll see pictures of these and other windows
in this post, because it’s everywhere...
To give you
an idea ... This showcase is a clothing store...
Otro tema MUY IMPORTANTE en Londres, es la afición por los PASTELES, TARTAS, BOLLERÍA, etc. Cuanto más vistosos, mejor. Desde luego... entran por los ojos!!! Ya iréis viendo fotos de estos escaparates en este y otros post, porque verdaderamente están por todas partes....

Another
essential stop is at Cath Kidston ...denotes
this store "style cake" of which I spoke... in my opinion It’s a bit cheesy... but has its charm!
Otra parada imprescindible es en Cath Kidston... esta tienda denota el "estilo pastelito" del que os hablaba... ese que entusiasma a las inglesas y que para mi gusto es un tanto cursi... pero que tiene su encanto... y mucho!

The other
reason why Portobello is famous is by its antique shops and stalls...This has
been a bit neglected to the tourism... but you can still find really
interesting things!
El otro motivo por el que se pasea por Portobello es por sus tiendas y puestos de antigüedades...
Esto ha quedado ya un poco relegado al turismo.. pero aún pueden encontrarse cosas interesantes..

And now turn
to the left to meet my favorite ride... WESBOURNE GROVE.
Here it raises
the level, and worth it for the beautiful shops and restaurants found along the
street and surrounding...
Ahh! and the

This store is
very nice with a lovely decoration, and has cool clothing. It comes from Paris,
but also has a very British style.
Esta tienda es muyyy bonita, con una decoración muy cuidada, y tiene una ropa ideal. Es de origen parisino, pero también tiene un estilo muy british.

And the great
discovery! twenty8twelve is the clothing store that SIENNA MILLER (actress) opened
with her sister Savannah Miller (designer), named after Sienna's birthday
(28/12). They have very nice clothes, and the great pull of being Sienna Miller,
which makes it much easier...
Y el gran descubrimiento! twenty8twelve es la tienda de ropa que ha abierto SIENNA MILLER (actriz) con su hermana SAVANNAH MILLER (diseñadora), cuyo nombre proviene del cumpleaños de Sienna (28/12).
Tienen ropa muy bonita, y el gran tirón de ser de Sienna Miller, lo que facilita mucho la tarea...

I really
think that shops are fascinating in this street ... especially good taste with
which they are set up: care, lovely designs and great quality...
Hmmmm I'm
getting hungry... :-P
La verdad que los comercios son fascinantes en esta calle... sobre todo por el buen gusto con el que están montados: cuidados, con buenos diseños, y estupenda calidad....
