SCOOP INTERNATIONAL - London Fashion Show

Last Monday we attended one of the most important fashion trade shows in London: Scoop International. It has been running just for a few years -launched in 2011 by fashion industry expert Karen Radley-  and it has been an amazing success.

"Scoop is a boutique womenswear trade show, showcasing emerging and established directional fashion designers across two London art galleries: the Saatchi Gallery and Phillips."

As New York Fashion Week is finishing today, I would like to show you my favourite looks off the catwalks. The attendees, fashion editors and models show how to wear the designs on the street. 

Fashion Party in Lyon

As you may know if you follow us on social media, we had been invited to take part in a fashion event in Lyon (France) a couple of weeks ago. Sarah Irouche is a popular event organiser in Lyon who loves fashion, and who frequently organises fashion catwalks in this French city. This time, it was a summery "Special Fashion Pool Party" with catwalk, DJ, finger food, cocktails and ... swimming pool! She contacted us a few months ago because she really loved our brand Etrala London and invited us to take part. The event was organised in the unique and popular night club and terrace "Le Pop" in the centre of the city, at the riverside. We spent the whole day organising the catwalk, doing the rehearsal and preparing the models...

Last weekend has been very busy for us, LONDON FASHION WEEK has been running in London as well as Ecoluxe London, the Ethical Luxury event that takes place every year along side the LFW. We were visiting the Somerset House on Saturday, and presenting our latest Autumn Winter 2013 collection on Sunday and Monday, at Kingsway Hall Hotel, in Covent Garden.

Pure London Show / August 2012

As you know, this week we have been showcasing our Spring Summer 2013 Collection at Pure London, in the Premium section.

This is no more than a trade show, but because it´s a Fashion event it´s much more exciting to assist! 

This place is huge, and every single fashion brand has a different and personalized decoration.. I got great ideas for the next time!

Here you have a selection of some of the most original stands and the catwalk... Hope you like them!

Como ya sabéis, esta semana hemos presentado nuestra colección Primavera Verano 2013 en la feria de moda más grande de Reino Unido: Pure London, en la sección Premium. 

Esto no es más que una feria de muestras, pero al tratarse de un evento de moda la visita se hace mucho más interesante!!

Esta feria es enorme, y cada una de las marcas que exhiben en ella pone una decoración personalizada y diferente... he cogido buenas ideas para la próxima vez!

WGSN Trends Catwalk at Pure London Show

As all you may know, the biggest fashion trade show in UK, Pure London, took place in Kensington the last 3 days. Here you could find most of the British and international fashion brands exhibiting their Spring Summer 2013 collections, As Etrala London did at the PREMIUM SECTION. But well, I´ll write another post about it.... 

One of the most importants events within the trade show, is the WGSN Trends Catwalk. 

WGSN, as they say, is "the world´s leading fashion trend forecaster", and organise every season a Trend Forecast speech and catwalk at Pure London. 

This time, and under the macrotrend for Spring Summer 2013 "Wonderlab: Metallics", one of our dresses was featured, during Mrs Francesca Muston's speech and later on the catwalk... 



Como ya todos sabréis por nuestras anteriores publicaciones, estos últimos 3 días ha tenido lugar en Londres la feria de moda más grande de Reino Unido, Pure London. En ella, se encontraban las marcas de moda inglesas e internacionales más importantes del sector, exponiendo sus colecciones para Primavera Verano 2013. Entre ellas estaba Etrala London, exponiendo en la sección Premium. 

Dentro del calendario de eventos de la feria, uno de los más esperados siempre es el seminario de predicción de tendencias que imparte WGSN, la agencia "líder mundial en predicción de tendencias". 

En esta edición de Pure, y bajo el título de una de las macrotendencias "Wonderlab: Metalizados" mostraron como ejemplo uno de nuestros vestidos, tanto en la charla de Francesca Muston como en el posterior desfile...

#GFW: Graduate Fashion Week

Graduate Fashion Week is taking place right now in London, and I had the chance to visit it last Monday. It showcases  the work of more than 1,000 of the finest BA degree Fashion students from 40 Universities across the UK and overseas. GFW is the largest graduate fashion event in the world. Designers, marketeers, new media experts, buyers, pattern cutters, stylists, journalist's, illustrators and visual merchandisers all participate in GFW and represent the future of British fashion. The event is full of talent, creativity and new ideas.... It was so inspirational for me!

In addition, I had the chance to attend the WGSN Trends Seminar for Autumn Winter 2013 / 2014... amazing! but I can´t tell you yet, professional secrecy, hehe. 

BALLGOWNS. British Glamour since 1950

Last weekend, I had the chance to visit a wonderful exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum (London): "Ballgowns. British Glamour since 1950". 

The V&A Museum celebrates the opening of the newly renovated Fashion Galleries with an exhibition of beautiful ballgowns. Displayed over two floors, the exhibition features more than sixty designs for social events such as private parties, royal balls, state occasions and opening nights."

next August 19th - 21st, 2012, at Olympia, London.

Etrala Launch Party. Chapter I: The Fashion Show

THE FASHION SHOW

Last Thursday 26th April, Etrala London celebrated its Launch Party in Maida Vale, London. 

It was a party with music and drinks (I´ll tell you later the details on a different post...) but also a Fashion Show with a catwalk, where we presented our collections. 

Firstly, our guests could see the Spring Summer 2012 capsule collection which is formed by 6 womenswear garments, inspired by the summer evenings along the French Riviera during its golden years...

Navy blue and off-white form the main palette, but colorful trimmings, as lemon yellow, fuchsia pink and neon green add a modern twist.

The whole collection is handmade in London, using high end natural fabrics as wool, pure silk and cotton. 

This collection is available to shop online.

El pasado jueves 26 de Abril, Etrala London celebró una Fiesta de Lanzamiento de la marca en Londres. 

Fue una fiesta con música y bebidas (esto os lo contaré más adelante con detalle en otro post..) pero también un Desfile en el que presentamos nuestras colecciones sobre la pasarela. 

En Primer Lugar, nuestros invitados pudieron ver la colección cápsula Primavera Verano 2012 formada por 6 prendas inspiradas en las tardes de verano de la Costa Azul francesa durante sus años dorados...  El azul marino y el blanco roto forman la paleta principal, mientras que los colores flúor en las terminaciones de las prendas le dan el toque diferente....

Toda la colección está hecha a mano en Londres utilizando tejidos 100% naturales de la más alta calidad, como la seda o el algodón. 

Esta colección está actualmente disponible en la tienda online.

ZARA... COPY & PASTE

It´s not new that ZARA (as well as the other mass market stores) copies the most prestigious designer´s creations... but when today I went into the Regent Street Store in London I was astonished! 

The main door mannequins were wearing the same as the Spring Summer 2012 collection of Louis Vuitton, designed by Marc Jacobs! Pastel, feathers and florals... even the pointed toe shoes!

Indeed, the LV fashion show (that you can see here) was amazing!

What do you think about it?

No es nada nuevo que ZARA (como todas sus "primas hermanas") copie los diseños de los más prestigiosos diseñadores.... pero cuando esta tarde he entrado en la tienda de Regent Street (Londres) me he quedado sorprendida al ver el estilismo que tenían los maniquíes de la puerta.... exactamente igual a la colección Primavera Verano 2012 de Luis Vuitton diseñada por Marc Jacobs! Colores pastel, plumas y perforados florales... hasta los zapatos con puntera metalizada!

Por cierto que el desfile de LV (que podéis ver aquí) me pareció una maravilla... 

¡A ver qué os parece a vosotros!

Last 19-20 February, Etrala London exhibited its Autumn/Winter 12/13 Collection at Ecoluxe London, Ethical Fashion Show as part of London Fashion Week events. It held at Kingsway Hall Hotel (Coven Garden).

Los pasados días 19 y 20 de febrero, Etrala London expuso su colección Otoño / Invierno 12/13 en Ecoluxe London, una feria de moda ética que forma parte del calendario de eventos de la London Fashion Week. La muestra tuvo lugar en el Kingsway Hall Hotel de Coven Garden. Entre los visitantes se encontraban compradores, prensa y blogueros... algunos de los cuales escribieron sobre nosotros!
